The Raxofix System and its processes are patented by Viega. Raxofix press clamps from Viega are designed for use on the standard machines from Viega. They therefore fulfil the ROTHENBERGER compatibility conditions and can therefore also be used with ROTHENBERGER standard presses.
Viega itself calls the their contour SC. The reason for this is the target leakage point in the beading of the fittings so that the fitting is leaky in an unpressed condition. The design solution used in this case has been patented by Viega. The designation Contour is misleading at this point since one is only speaking here of the form of the bead. Contour names are not usually standardised. This means that every fitting or jaw manufacturer can give any name he wants to the contour for the respective Pressing system. Therefore there is always the question: what is the name of the system to be pressed. Please search in the main catalogue for the system to be pressed and select the respective press clamps.
Due to the nature of the system fittings in the plastics area of up to 110 mm and metal fittings of up 108 mm can be pressed. Because of the large variety of press clamps and systems available it is only possible to make the following general statements: o every press clamp, press collar which fulfils the compatibility conditions for standard machines can be pressed in and therefore also the suitable fitting. 1. An example: Mapress stainless steel (M-contour): All of the press collars/press clamps available on the market for standard Pressing machines are only designed up to 54 mm and it is not possible to press in up to 108 mm. 2. An example: Viega Profipress (SV-contour): Even Viega has press collars for its standard Pressing machines on the market and it is possible to press in up to 108 mm.
The mount, the stroke and the necessary force is exclusively compatible with the ROTHENBERGER compact press clamps and the compact press clamps from the company Novopress. Novopress also sells its press clamps under different brand i.e. Geberit.
Thanks to the new Polarproof Tank the machine can be used at low temperatures. The plastic used in the manufacture of the tank was chosen to be used in low temperatures. Storage in the automobile in particularly low temperatures (-20°C) is no problem at all. Furthermore, the machine can be used in a virtually frozen condition, using heaat from the battery to warm the machine.
